Who are NYC's most exceptional teachers?
We’ve all had teachers who’ve had a lasting impact on our lives. Now is our opportunity to recognize New York City teachers who are providing exceptional guidance to our city’s 1.1 million students. Nominations are open until December 9 for the 2017 Big Apple Awards.
Show your appreciation for a dedicated educator who has made an impact on you and/or your community. The teacher you nominate could become a Big Apple Award recipient and spend the 2017-2018 school year participating in the Big Apple Fellowship and representing teachers citywide as members of the Chancellor’s Teacher Advisory Group. Even teachers who are simply nominated are winners: Each receives an email letting them know they have been nominated, reminding them that we appreciate the hard work they do every day.
Nominees should be current full-time teachers at New York City district schools, charter schools or teaching full-day Universal Pre-K at a NYC Early Education Center. Anyone, from students and families, to teachers and community members can submit a nomination.
