The Fund for Public Schools (The Fund) is pleased to announce that “NYC Represents” grants are available to schools that have the chance to represent New York City at an exceptional opportunity for their school community – but need extra funding to make it happen. Examples could include participation in a national chess or robotics tournament or an invitation for a choir or band to perform at a marquee event. These grants are privately-funded, and will be awarded on a rolling basis based on school need and the availability of funds. Schools may apply for up to $5,000. This funding will go directly to the school, and may only be used for the purposes of the event.
