Sadiq Siddiqui

Portfolio Manager

Sadiq joined the Fund for Public Schools as a Portfolio Manager in 2022 and he brings over sixteen years of experience working in the public sector. In his role, Sadiq is responsible for managing aspects of the grant development process, including establishing and managing relationships with NYC Public Schools teams and ensuring the timely and accurate execution of grants. He works collaboratively with NYC Public Schools teams to track metrics, milestones, deliverables, and expenditures against budget. His grant portfolio includes STEM education, Library Services, Special Education, Literacy, Curriculum, and Tutoring.

Sadiq previously worked on several major portfolios under the NYC Department of Education’s Office of Language Access Unit (OLA) as a Project Manager. He successfully led the digitization of the translation in put on MySchools.nyc, a student enrollment language access portal specifically designed for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) families. Other initiatives under Sadiq’s purview included project managing a language access expansion initiative for families in need of Special Education Student Information System (SESIS) support, and the 2022 Middle Schools Admissions Guide.

Sadiq obtained his B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton (Binghamton University) while completing his MBA from Florida International University. Sadiq is a proud alum of NYC Public Schools.
